Lizzington Week Day 3 - What Makes Them Special
Lots of things. Little things. Like the grabbing of arms to pull each other out of danger:
Like risking their lives to save each other no matter what:
Like when they work together as a perfect team:
Like the way they look at each other:
Like when they give each other fierce hugs
And especially when they try to express love for each other but just can’t quite get it out:
Just a few things that make Red and Liz special…

Way Raymond talks ~
Red’s stories are parables, meaning that they have a moral or point to them. The style is very interesting in that he relates his story in a highly feminine way, but ends it masculine style.
Reddington always begins his stories creating the impression that he is somehow effete, unserious (exploiting the male perception of non-relevant details…) and somehow unthreatening. Then, at the end, he very suddenly switches to the male style, getting to the point in a unemotional, business-like way. The effect is remarkable (kudos to the actor) because the menace only appears very suddenly and in very close proximity, as if appearing out of nowhere.
Believe what you are saying in the moment you are saying it. In other words: fake it until you make it.Spader himself is a very passionate storyteller. I’ve watched him in interviews and such. That’s why he’s so animated…. why his body tells just as much as his mouth does. He’s all in.
He is incredible…
Magnificent.
Love his stories…
He’s so adorable

Two non-offensive alternatives to the term “spirit animal”
- Daemon - The only one you’re appropriating is Pullman and by appropriating Pullman you’re upsetting no-one, save possibly the Pope.
- Patronus - Wizards everywhere are more than willing to lend you this term and the geekiness is an added bonus. I just read that geeks are sexy, or so the Metro, so, there you go, a patronus is clearly your next ascribed accessory.
I will reblog this over and over till everyone on my dash switches to one of these.
yupp. I use patronus.
If you are non-NDN, you shouldn’t be using the term “spirit animal.”
